The Laoag City Social Welfare and Development Office, together with SPED Teachers from the different schools and groups of Laoag City, launched the 32nd National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week yesterday during the regular Monday flag-raising ceremonies in front of the City Hall.
City officials and employees led by Acting Mayor Eddie P. Domingo, SP Members Hon. Chevylle Fariñas and Hon. Derick Lao, witnessed SPED pupils and students dance, sing and act popular songs that included the Lupang Hinirang and the opening prayer. It was a moving sight to watch as everyone was glued to the performances.
Other activities lined up for this week include a Free Medical Mission today, Symposium on Family tomorrow, a Day Camp for children and the youth on July 29 and a Skills Training on Livelihood on July 30.
