The City Social Welfare and Development Office commemorated the Nutrition Month last July 23, 2010, eight o'clock in the morning at the Laoag City Basketball Court with the theme "Sa pagkain ng tama at sapat,wastong timbang ni baby ang katapat" .

One of the highlights of the said program was the A1 Child Contest  which was participated in by the Daycare Pupils of Laoag City. The A1 Child Contest was categorized into three: A1 Child, Healthy Smile and Body Wellness, with the winners to wit:
