Laoag City Officials led by Acting Mayor Eddie P. Domingo and ABC President Chevylle V. Fariñas proclaimed the winners in the 2009 Search for the Cleanest, Greenest, and Most Productive Barangays as well as the Best Performing Barangay Peace and Order Committees.

In the regular Monday flag-raising ceremonies, Vice Mayor Domingo and the ABC President Fariñas, assisted by SP Members David Frez and Franklin Respicio, handed over cash prizes to the winners:

Aside from proclaiming these winners, the City Officials also distributed financial assistance to 50 FELARIC (Federation of Laoag Rural Improvement Club) members at P2,000.00 each, and 56 CAFCI (City Agriculture and Fishery Council) members at P1,071.00 each.
