MVF and City Dads Attend First Monday Rites of New Administration

Felaric_Oath_TakingMayor Michael V. Fariñas and the members of the Eighth Sanggunian attended yesterdays flag-raising ceremony, the first of the new administration, amidst renewed hopes and invigorated spirits in the delivery of better services to all Laoagueños.

 

Plaque_AwardingIn the short but meaningful program that ensued, a Certificate of Appreciation from the Laoagueños Overseas Workers Association was awarded to Mayor Michael V. Fariñas for his invaluable support  to OFWs.

Incentive_AwardingA new set of  Officers of the FELARIC and CAFC, under the office of the City Agriculturist, were also sworn in by the Mayor. Also, 13 cooperatives of the City were beneficiaries of soft loans of P15,000.00 each, amounting to P200,000.00, while The Western Irrigators Association of Laoag received a check in the amount  of P100,00.00, representing the City's contribution in the purchase of irrigating equipment in the association. MVF and the members of the Eighth Sanggunian distributed the cheques to their officers.

Vehicle_BlessingThe more notable highlight of the program was the blessing of staff vehicles and heavy equipment for the use of the different departments of the city. No less than the Mnsgr. Poly Albano of the Diocese of Laoag officiated the blessing.

In his message, MVF solicited renewed cooperation  from all employees and members of the Eighth Sanggunian, at the time  asked the forgiveness from those  he has done wrong. He stressed however that if at times he gets  strict, it is but necessary  to prevent mediocrity and abuse by those concerned.
