Laoag City Celebrates 49th Charter Day

On June 19, 1965, Laoag officially became a city of the Republic of the Philippines. It was through the initiative of the late Mayor Eulalio F. Siazon, Sr. and then Representative Simeon Valdez.


Mayor CVF Resumes "New" Rang-Ay ti Barangay

The Rang-ay ti Barangay program of the Laoag City government was successfully resumed last week by Mayor Chevylle V. Fariñas. The first recipients of the year were Barangay Bacsil North (56-A), Barangay 29, and Barangay Bacsil South (56-B).

Another Successful SPES Summer in Laoag City

This year’s Special Program for the Employment of Students finished off with a culminating activity conducted last May 26, 2012 in front of the Laoag City Hall. All three hundred fifty SPES grantees attended the conclusion of the summer program of LGU-Laoag City.
